The Greatest Weapon, Love

My love is the greatest weapon. Love is the greatest motivational force in the universe, and the entire galaxy. Everything I do, I do in love. Because of love, my love, it makes the best foundation for me and my people. I bring my people through trials little or great for the benefit and humility of my people. That they will know me out of the bottom of their heart, to work and show my gift of Eternal salvations Grace. You can know me out of the heart than by love. Love is what makes my people want me, and my Father in Heaven. It is designed in their heart to respond and serve me in love, truly and Faithfully. To serve me, in love, you’ll follow me to the ends of the Earth. It was love that sent me to die for all the sins of the earth, to die on the cross of Calvary, to take beatings for you, to pay for every disease, sin correction, and sickness, to give you personally eternal life that will last forever and never be lost. If you were the only one I would have died for you. Love is strong. It is undefeatable. It can never go down in defeat. That is what I did on the cross of Calvary, to give you complete victory in every realm, and over all the works of the devil. It is done. Love is Victorious. Love goes on forever. Love will never end.

That is why Paul’s mission was so strong. And he paid the price in full to show love in full. God’s love always clears and cleans the pathway. Love makes your mind clear, your heart is focused on me. You are focused on the goal of winning a crown, of gaining a full reward, of knowing me when you walk through the streets of Glory side-by-side with all the prophets and more. This is the will of my Father above and the spirit. Pray that you will have the best reward, the best of me, the full reward when you enter the capital city in heaven. Saith the Everlasting God which made Heaven and Earth.

Mistaken Identity

Have you ever heard the story of the prodigal son also known as the lost son? This story is a great example of two sons who both struggled with knowing who they where as sons. One, who we hear a lot of sermons about was the prodigal son. Who left home took his inheritance and spent it on wild living only to lose it all and find himself working in a pig farm dishing out slop. He was homeless, broken,& disillusioned until he realized that even the servants of his fathers house lived better than him and went home. As he approached his home. His father saw him a far off and ran to met him with joy, gave him a robe, a ring and then had a party declaring his son who was lost is home again.

The other brother who stayed home seeing all this became angry and jealous saying to his father, “I have  been here all along and never received a party.” The father scolded him saying that everything he had was already his but they must rejoice because his brother who was lost and is now found.

Both sons had a laps in judgement and struggled to discover who they really were as men. One lead a wild life style and the other was self righteous. As I look at this story it reminds me of two types of believers. The one who left God to find out how much they needed him and the other who have been raised in the church culture but never discovered the real love of God.

In Romans 8:14,15 calls though’s who are led by the spirit are Sons of God. We as a church, in the United States, are in a crisis. In the sense that we are over “churched”. We know the stories, we celebrate the holidays, attend the meetings on Sunday and the midweek service. We try to live a good life and even tithe, but have lost the true identity of the Church. Which is to be a true reflection of Christ. It’s like someone stole our credit card, hacked our accounts, and depleted all our resources. We fail to tap in to the very nature of Christ. We accept Him in a prayer as Lord, but don’t give Him full authority in our life. We believe that He heals, but doubt He can do it in our life. We question ourselves and God when challenges arise in our life. God is like the father scolding us saying everything I have is yours. While, Christ is screaming I gave my life so you can live yours to the fullest!

In John 14, Christ says, “A little while longer and the world will see me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. At that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.”

He is saying I am alive! I am here! I am living! You have full access to my very nature! Not only are you to accept what I have done but you are to become who I am, because I live in you. I will even go as far to say, you can call yourself Christ because Christ means sent one. His sent one anointing is in you screaming for you to let Him out to have full authority in your life. John 16:7, “Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.

Christ had no limits. He walked on water, healed the sick, cast out demons, and He said in His Word, greater things will you do in My Name because I leave to go with the Father (John 14:12). We are connected in the spirit, but we need to put God as Lord over everything in our life and expect Him to move. John 15:3 -4 says, ” You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As a branch can not bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me.” When people get around us they should feel the presence of God, His Glory should be in the room like it was in 2 Chronicles 5:13, 14,where the Cloud of Glory filled the temple. The Cloud of His Glory is the knowledge of God, His word revealed to us and through us as we respond to His voice in worship.

In the old testament they had to go through the priest to experience God, to hear from Him or make sacrifices. Now, because God has always wanted to have fellowship with His creation, He is calling us back to the garden like when Adam walked with God. That is what Jesus came to do, to restore our fellowship with God. Moses had to meet God on the mountain side. He had such a great experience with God the people could not even look at him. He had to put a veil over his face because the light shown so bright through him. When Christ let out His last scream on the cross it ripped the veil in the temple. They say it was two inches thick that same veil represents sin the very thing that would keep the priest out if they where not prepared to enter in. With that very cry, He saw us! He destroyed the wall of separation between us and God. He said come in I desire to be with you in the sweet fellowship of communion like we had in the garden before sin entered in. 2 Corinthians 2 and 3 talks about that veil. It says that it is on our hearts and minds when we don’t believe. It is my understanding that it is also saying when we read the Word, if we lack understanding we must turn to the Lord, and He will, by His Spirit, reveal Himself and Truth to us. The Truth, God’s Word is to us the knowledge of God. He visits us in our understanding and personal revelation of Gods word.

Colossians 3:4 says, ” When Christ who is our life appears, then we will appear with Him in Glory.”  How does He appear? It say’s in our life! If He is our life then when we show up in faith, He shows up with us in all His Glory! How does this happen? If we read further on it says by putting off our old man, our former thinking and life styles, and put on the new man in Verse 10, ” and have put on the new man (Christ) who is renewed in the knowledge according to the image of Him (God) who created Him (us)”

Jesus had this set up the whole time, in His plan, that we could take on His identity. He even prayed for us in John 17:20, 21, “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in me through their word;that they all may be one in US, that the world may believe that You sent me.”

It’s our prayer at In Glory that you know who you are designed to be, in oneness with God through Christ. We want you to be empowered and equipped to stand in your place as a Son and Daughter of God. Don’t let fear, Doubt, or past failures hold you back from becoming who God made you to be. God Bless

There have been times when I needed directions to get to a destination.  In the times before google maps and GPS you would have to rely on people to give you directions.  I didn’t have time for an opinion on how to get from point A to point B. I had somewhere to be and only had a certain time to get there.  If I stop and ask directions from some-one and they tell me how they feel about how to get somewhere, I’m likely to get really lost.  I need the facts of how to get to where I’m going.  Tell me the truth!  Everyone has heard the old adage that it is always better to tell the truth.     The idea is that being truthful is better even in the face of consequences.  This is a struggle every parent goes through when trying to teach that concept to children.  The threat of getting in trouble for eating all the cookies in the jar is often all we need to be motivated to tell a lie.  Incidentally, you don’t have to teach a person to lie.  Kids will automatically do so if they know they could get into trouble for telling the truth.  The fear is understandable.  And it is a feeling that even lives on in adults.  How many times have you seen the TV show “COPS” when they pull over someone, get them out of the car, and ask him or her if they had any drugs on them.  They almost always lie, and then when caught they use the same excuse….”It’s not mine!!” Or “I don’t know how that got there officer!”   Just give me the truth!!

Every society in history values the truth.  In all areas of life we seek after firm foundations that we can build ourselves on and truth sets those foundations in stone.  The problem with our society is that the word “truth” is no longer used the way it was intended to be used.  In practice the word and concept has nothing to do with the actual definition of it.  And the question has gone from . “what is truth?” to “What is YOUR” truth.  Let me explain.

The word truth is an extension of the word “True”. The definition of the word true is

: agreeing with the facts : not false

: real or genuine

: having all the expected or necessary qualities of a specifed type of Person or thing

It is a belief that is consistent with the facts.  What that automatically means is that if we are describing a notion as truth than it excludes other notions that are contrary to the first notion.  Let me make it plain for you.  Everyone knows that the fact of gravity cannot be refuted.

If I hurl myself off of a roof..I will come crashing to the earth pretty quickly.  Every time.  It doesn’t matter what I believe I will do…the truth is that gravity will take over and plunge my 200 lb body down in a splat.  It cannot be “my” truth to believe that I can fly like R.kelly.  You cannot have two opposite truths.

You can’t even have several truths that conflict with each other.  Otherwise it leaves the realm of actual truth and moves in to the confusing arena of opinions. We now live in a society where truth is relative.  The phrase…”He’s living his truth..” or “that’s truth for her”  is very dangerous.  This gives us the idea that we can think, do , say, believe and behave any way we want to without consequence.  IWhen you hear people say…well his truth is…..What they are really saying is “his” opinion and feelings are strongly held so YOU need to regard it as truth.  If I as a male feel like I am a female I should be able to compete with the females and NO ONE should question why I win at almost every physical sport.  You think that’s far-fetched? This nonsense has infiltrated even the Olymipics. It’s gotten into the UFC.

Transgender UFC fighter

In more and more school districts there are “gender neutral” locker-rooms and bathrooms.  Evolution is taught as truth when the theories and so called proofs are rife with out and out lies. Our world is rapidly changing for the worse. What’s right is wrong and what’s wrong is right.  It’s enough to drive a rational moral person crazy! That is why your stand for Gods truth is detrimental.

Know that you are in good company though.  Jesus made bold statements that HE said were truth.  He didn’t allow for wiggle room on these concepts.  He made it so that we have to choose to believe that what he claimed was actually true or believe he was off his rocker.  Mind you, if you choose to believe that what he said is true than that automatically means that other concepts are patently false.  There is no room for YOUR truth..or MY truth with God.  It’s either TRUTH or not.  Jesus said “I am the way, the Truth and the Light, NO MAN comes to the father except through me..” Today Jesus would  be called a racist, islamophobic, homophobic, xenophobic  phobophobic intolerant bigot for a statement like that.  If you dare to stand and say something is right and something is wrong than you run the risk of being called horrible names and persecuted in some-way. Just accept it.

How a person feels is now accepted as truth.  Feelings are king now.  Feelings usurp fact or logic at every turn.  It is a recipe for chaos.  A woman who feels like she is another ethic group and lives like she should be addressed according to how she FEELS was throughout the headlines.  A man who feels like he is a woman should now be addressed as a “she” and you are made out to be evil if you call her a him…..because he is a HIM.  Its insane!

If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, than you are required to proclaim what Jesus spoke as the immoveable truth. And by the way, that truth is not all a bed of roses and dandelions.  The truth hurts.  It sets a standard for us to ponder and ultimate decide for or against.  The truth creates accountability and allows for us to be trustworthy.  The truth keeps us solidly planted on concrete allowing us to withstand all the perversions of the truth.  Another way to say it is that truth is like a landmark that travelers can count on to get to their destination if they do not have a map.

But how do we know what the truth is??  How can we as Christians tell others what truth is and we aren’t even sure of it ourselves.  You can either take Christ at his word and follow Him and study to sincerely compare what is taught in the scriptures to see if this book can be trusted to hang your life’s truths on.  Or you can fall for the lie that truth is a fluid relative thing.   God is choosing you and I to be the standard by which the world should navigate.  Our landmarks cannot move. The lost are counting on us to be mile markers and vantage point to lead them to a God that they don’t even realize they are looking for.     Find out what God says about whatever subject that begs an opinion and embody THAT truth.  Although you may be mocked for it initially…those who are truly seeking answers will eventually seek you out. The unsatisfying boneless, formless, nebulous mush of relative truth cannot be relied upon.  But the truth of the gospel has always and will always set men free and safely get them home.

Praise Him in advance

Have you ever heard of the saying “Praise Him in advance” and wondered why? I think you are in good company if you have. I recently came across this story in the Bible that helped me understand the saying.

“Then Jahaziel was moved by the Spirit of GOD to speak from the midst of the congregation. (Jahaziel was the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah the Levite of the Asaph clan.) He said, “Attention everyone—all of you from out of town, all you from Jerusalem, and you King Jehoshaphat— GOD ’s word: Don’t be afraid; don’t pay any mind to this vandal horde. This is God’s war, not yours. Tomorrow you’ll go after them; see, they’re already on their way up the slopes of Ziz; you’ll meet them at the end of the ravine near the wilderness of Jeruel. You won’t have to lift a hand in this battle; just stand firm, Judah and Jerusalem, and watch GOD ’s saving work for you take shape. Don’t be afraid, don’t waver. March out boldly tomorrow— GOD is with you.”

Then Jehoshaphat knelt down, bowing with his face to the ground. All Judah and Jerusalem did the same, worshiping GOD. The Levites (both Kohathites and Korahites) stood to their feet to praise GOD, the God of Israel; they praised at the top of their lungs!

They were up early in the morning, ready to march into the wilderness of Tekoa. As they were leaving, Jehoshaphat stood up and said, “Listen Judah and Jerusalem! Listen to what I have to say! Believe firmly in GOD, your God, and your lives will be firm! Believe in your prophets and you’ll come out on top!” After talking it over with the people, Jehoshaphat appointed a choir for GOD; dressed in holy robes, they were to march ahead of the troops, singing, Give thanks to GOD, His love never quits.”
2 Chronicles 20:14-21 MSG

You see, the battle belongs to the Lord. He brought you to it, He will bring you through it. The secret is to stand firm and praise Him for His victory. The praise that was offered up here by the choir was “give thanks to God His love never quits” this is a people that understand God will do what He said He would do, no matter what it looks like. They are truly walking by faith and not by sight.

Do you know that The Lord caused confusion to come upon everyone in the opposing army and they killed each other? By time the congregation reached the field, it was nothing but dead bodies! Hallelujah!

So no matter what situation you are facing , no matter what the situation looks like just stand firm on Gods promise. Give the battle to Him, stand strong, unshakeable and praise Him in advance. Know that God is faithful.

Prayer starter: Lord, I thank you for your grace and your faithfulness. I thank you for your Word and for all the ways it speaks to me. Lord, help me to stand strong on your promises. Help me to know your faithful and able to do more than I can imagine or think. Remind me when worry or doubt try to creep in to just praise you and focus on who you are! I thank you for All you are doing in, through and around me, that which I can see and that I cannot see. I will trust in you because your love never quits! In Jesus name, amen.

Don’t talk to snakes

I had a sister in The Lord once tell me not to talk to snakes. I of course had no idea what she meant and it must have been obvious by the look on my face because she followed her statement with “like Eve in the garden.” I smiled and nodded. I understood where she was going with the thought but how did it apply to me and my everyday life?

A little while later I was sitting in the living room scrolling through Facebook and I started to see all of my friends from the past having fun, posting pictures from their “great night out” dancing at the club, drinking and having a blast. It caused me to start thinking back and remembering all of the fun times I had with them and then I even started thinking about fun times I had while drinking or partying. Then I started to miss it. I missed hanging out, I missed my friends, my family. Then I wondered if I was making the right choice following God, doing His will…

All of a sudden The Scripture verse “If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. (Hebrews 11:15)” popped into my head. And Prasie God it did. I immediately realized what happened. I entertained a thought that lead to the next thought which caused me to question what I was doing. I said out loud “haha, I see you, you crafty little snake” I then understood exactly what my sister was saying.

Eve was in the garden minding her own business when the snake approached her and started a conversation with her. It started out harmless, but the more she talked to the snake the trickier he was. He eventually caused her to question God. It’s easy to say “oh I would have seen exactly what the snake was doing. I wouldn’t have eaten the fruit.” But how many times do you entertain thoughts of fear and doubt along with the “what if” senerios that play out with them? These are not from the Lord. You my friend are talking to a snake.

How do you know if it’s a snake? The more time you spend in The Word of God the more you will recognize the nature of God. You will easily be able to identify the voice of a stranger. Also in James it says that the implanted word is able to save your soul. I believe that’s what happened with me. The implanted word sprang to life inside of me, and saved me from continuing the conversation with that snake.

What do you do once you recognize that you are talking to a snake? In 2 Corinthians it says to demolish every thought that sets itself against the knowledge of God, and to take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Again, this is where knowing truth or the Word will help you know how to fight.

How do you protect yourself from talking to snakes? Philippians 4:8 says whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent or praiseworthy to think about these things!!! You are in control of what you think about! So I ask, are you talking to snakes?

Prayer starter: Lord, I thank you for Your Word and for the ability to come to You with boldness, knowing that You hear my prayers. I ask Lord that You would give me a desire to know Your Word, know You and hear Your voice more clearly. Help me to identify the snakes and to take care of them. Help me to meditate and think on Your Word and the admirable and praiseworthy things in my life. I love and trust You, in Jesus name. Amen.

Litttle Boy! (Faith)

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20 NLT

I recently saw a movie called “Little Boy” this is a story about a young boy who loved his father but because his older brother had flat feet and could not fight in the war his father had to fight in his place. He missed his father and was presented with a challenge from the priest after he heard one of his message about mustard seed faith. The priest presented him with a list to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the sick, bury the dead, care for the widow and befriend the enemy. They called this list the magic list! He believed that if he finished this list his dad would come home safe from the war. As he followed through with this list he was made fun of, picked on, beat up, but he kept with it. He lived in a small town and at one point his brother challenged him in front of the whole town that if his faith was so strong than for him to move the mountain right there, he then proceeded to stretch his hands out and pray and at that moment there was an earth quake. This shocked the town and strengthened the boys faith so he continued to stretch his hands out toward the war and prayed for it to stop. Shortly after that they received news that they had dropped a bomb that stopped the war and the bombs name was called “Little Boy”. The town was amazed at the boys faith and he was so excited until they received news that the his father may not have made it through the bomb. See his father was a prisoner of the war and they where not sure if all the prisoners survived. Most of his list was pretty easy until this point but his faith had the been presented with the biggest challenge of them all. The whole reason he was doing the list was for his father to come home. He had befriended the person no one wanted to be friends with, he had clothed the homeless and a baby, he feed the hungry, visited the sick, and the widow. Then they got news from the military their father did not make it, his heart was broken. His mother had a memorial service for the father, all his hopes had been shattered. The friend he made encouraged him that he put all his heart, his love for his father into that list and his father would have been proud. The little boy was at a point where his faith could have been taken, shattered and destroyed forever as he went to his fathers memorial site and left the list on his grave stone. It was at that very moment when he was about to give up hope when they received news again from the military that his father was not dead there was a mix up. See his father was shot, when he was down another man stole his boots and ran but was shot in the back, the fathers dog tags where attached to his boots so they mistook him for the other man. His father was wounded but not dead and would be home soon. His father came home and his family was reunited and his hope was restored.

Faith is like that sometimes we are presented with all kinds of obstacles that would challenge us to throw in  the towel, to give up on God, our faith, and lose hope. In James 1:27 it talks about true faith, an incorruptible faith that does not get stained by the worlds attacks or blemished by guilt. Faith that thinks of others before our self, it is easy to become selfish when other have cheated us, betrayed us, and hurt us. I heard one man say God responds to our faith not our need. If you read Hebrews 11 you find stories of men who went through all sorts of obstacles but continued in the pursuit of faith. They call this the hall of faith, David was a murderer and adulterer but God called him a man after his own heart because he learned the art of repentance,  Paul was a murder who God reformed through a vision, Peter denied Christ 3 times but became the Rock. Through out the bible God used the unlikely people who chose to obey God and follow after him. Don’t let your circumstance define you! Your attitude determines your altitude!

Prayer Starter:

Father, I thank you that I can have faith like a child, that your mercies are renewed day by day. I repent for any unforgiveness, guilt, or envy in my life. I ask you to heal me from the injustices of this world from any situation where I was misused or treated wrongly. I know you are the author and the finisher of my faith and I thank you that you are faithful to complete all that you have started in my life. Father I believe but help me with my unbelief, all the areas in my life where I may have given up on or forgotten. I use my mustard seed faith and speak to every mountain in my life and command it to move and be cast into to sea to return no more. In Jesus Name! Amen
